The Embassy of the State of Qatar in Djibouti celebrates the National Day

The Embassy of the State of Qatar in the Republic of Djibouti held a party on the occasion of the State's National Day.

The ceremony was attended by His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ali Humad, president of the National Assembly, His Excellency Mr. Mahmoud Ali Youssef, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and Government Spokesperson, His Excellency Mr. Saeed Noah Hassan, Minister of Interior, and a number of ministers, senior officials, heads and members of diplomatic missions and representatives of regional and international organizations in Djibouti.

HE Dr. Rashid bin Shafeea Al Mari, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Djibouti, said in a speech at the ceremony that the National Day is a dear occasion that reflects the cohesion of the people of Qatar, the meanings of pride in the homeland and loyalty to the ancestors and fathers and their eternal sacrifices, and pride in the wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad. Al-Thani, Emir of the country, (may God protect him), the leader of the march of achievements, development, and a prosperous future. And he indicates that the celebration of the National Day comes to commemorate the founding of the State of Qatar at the hands of the late Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani.

He added that the celebration of the National Day is of particular importance this year because it coincides with the State of Qatar's hosting of the FIFA World Cup - Qatar 2022. The two events constitute an opportunity to highlight the unity and culture of the people of Qatar to the world. During this period, visitor to Qatar will learn about the bright aspects of our history and culture, our belief in civilized interaction with other cultures, and our pride in our Arab and Islamic values.

For his part, HE the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, government spokesman in Djibouti, praised the bilateral relations between the two countries, and Qatar's successful hosting of the World Cup.
